Our Story
Who We Help and What We Do Best
Advanced Precision Technologies was founded by Thomas White, whose full name is Thomas Ashley White, and is 100% owned by him. At the time of the October 2026 brief, Thomas was 45 and had worked in machining and engineering since he was 18, giving him 27 years of experience.
From our workshop at South Fens Enterprise Park in Chatteris, we specialise in 5-axis CNC machining of prototypes, one-offs and small batches, typically 1 to 100 parts, holding 5 to 10 microns (0.005–0.010 mm). We serve aerospace, defence, motorsport and medical customers, with a strong R&D and prototype focus.
Two in-house machinists run the machines. A trusted network of CNC programmers and inspectors, built up over 20+ years, supports the team. Work is seasonal, with consultants and contractors brought in during busy periods so capacity can flex with demand. Overnight and weekend machining is available when needed.

Measured, not assumed
Parts are checked on our own 5-axis scanning CMM, with inspection reports supplied on request.
Confidential by default
We sign an NDA with every customer as standard and hold Cyber Essentials certification.
Standalone inspection
Our 5-axis scanning CMM inspection service also covers parts made elsewhere, with reports on request.
Deadlines respected
Mon–Fri 7am–6pm in the office, with overnight and weekend machining when needed.
